文章利用2012年1月在湖北和湖南两省收集到的数据，实证研究了教育、社保、治安、医疗和基础设施五个方面的民生工程建设对农民工生活满意度的影响。结果表明，晚上外出安全感、农村新型合作医疗报销率和农户距水泥公路的距离对农民工的生活满意度影响显著，表明公共投入应优先向这些领域倾斜；而加入农村新型合作医疗、社保和子女在城市公立学校就读对提升当前农民工的生活满意度作用不明显，迫切需要完善相关制度和采取配套措施。

This article empirically analyzes the effects of the livelihood projects construction ,including education ,social insurance ,public security ,medical treatment and infrastructure ,on the life satisfaction of peasant-workers by employing data collected in Hubei and Hunan provinces in January ,2012 .The results show that the sense of security on being out during night ,the refund rate of the new rural cooperative med-ical care ,and the distance between the peasant household and the nearest cement road have significant effects on life satisfaction of peasant-workers ,implying the public investment should give priority to these fields .However ,the effects of participating in the new rural cooperative medical care ,social insurance , and children studying in the urban public schools are not apparent ,implying the related institutions need to be perfected and further measures need to be taken urgently .
