The operation data of Three Gorges ship lock in recent five years and its efficiency factors were analyzed in order to further enhance the effect of lock capacity .The authors point out that the navigation facilities can not meet the practical de-mand, ship type is complicated and complex natural environment are the main factors that influence the efficiency of the Three Gorges ship lock to further improved , and set the chamber , ship type standardization are suggested to further explore the potential of the Three Gorges ship lock capacity .
