Motivation is the important factor that has an impact on learner's learning effect. This article summarizes the most influential theories of motivation in the field of psychology. Based on the three-dimensional framework theory of Dornyei's foreign language acquisition motivation, analyzes the enlightenment it brings about to our college English teaching reform.
