Based on the analysis of the characteristics of students who are from experimental classes in sports universities and the analysis of the factors affecting the improvement of English level, this paper elaborates the English teaching innovation of the ex-perimental classes in sports university from the following five as-pects: teaching ideology, teaching mode, curriculum setting and the selection of teaching materials, teaching content and teaching methods, and evaluation system.
