以毛泽东为代表的中国共产党人把群众路线思想同中国革命和建设的实际相结合，通过对中国传统文化中“民本思想”的批判和继承，系统的阐述了群众路线，并将其核心内容概括总结为“一切为了群众，一切依靠群众，从群众中来，到群众中去”。这一路线的形成不仅是党政治、思想和组织领导的根本保证，而且成为毛泽东思想活的灵魂的重要组成部分。本文通过对毛泽东群众路线思想的渊源及其理论内涵的深层次分析，指出了群众路线在当代理论与实践方面的重要价值，同时着眼于新时期和新形势，对坚持和发扬党的群众路线提出了一些观点。

The Chinese communist party represented by Mao Zedong,combined the mass line thought with the actual situation of China revolution and construction,through criticizing and inheriting the people-based thought from Chinese traditional culture,they systematically elucidated the mass line,which can be conclude as doing everything for the masses,relying on them in every task,carrying out the principle of“from the masses,to the masses”.The formation of this line is not only the fundamental guarantee of the party’s politics,ideology and organizational leadership,but also became an important part of the living soul of Mao Zedong Thought.This paper deeply analyzes the origin and the theoretical connotation of the mass line thought,points out the great value of mass line in the contemporary theory and practice,meantime,this paper presents some viewpoints on maintaining and developing the mass line of the party in the new period and new situation.
