钢铁工业是能源消耗大户和污染物排放大户,节能减排工作应依据环境保护政策、新的行业排放标准、污染物排放总量控制、环保审批有保有压、严格的环境监管,以及强制实施一批重点环保工程的环境保护“倒逼机制”,促进行业长远可持续发展。

To promote the sustainable development of iron and steel industry which is a major energy consumer and pollution producer , energy-saving and emission-reduction shall be based on the envi-ronmental protection policies, the latest industrial emission limitation, total pollutant discharge limita-tion, differentiated environmental emission approval , strict environmental monitoring and compulsory implementation of anti -driving mechanism for some major environmental protection projects .
