随着世界各国的文化交流不断深入，我国少数民族文化也亟待推广，以增强中国文化软实力。为了更好的将中国少数民族文化恰当、得体、准确地表现出来，实现文化顺利交流，该文以广西少数民族水族、回族和侗族的特色词汇为例，从跨文化交际的角度探讨少数民族特色词汇的英译问题。通过比较分析，归纳总结，该文认为拼音译法、音译造词法、直译法、意译法和混合译法等5种翻译策略能较好的解决少数民族特色词汇的英译问题，实现跨文化交际的目的。

With the deepening of international cultural communication, the promotion of minority cultures has become a crucial part of enhancing China's soft cultural power. This paper mainly focuses on the study of translation strategies and methods for characteristic words of China’s ethnic minorities from the perspective of cross-cultural communication so as to realize the pur-pose of achieving successful cultural exchange. Through a comprehensive linguistic and cultural analysis on the characteristic words of Shui minority, Hui minority and Dong minority, this paper proposes five practical translation strategies in translating characteristic words, namely methods of transliterating with Pinyin, translating by inventing new words, literal translation, liberal translation and hybrid translation.
