共振是缩短机械零件寿命的主要危害之一。采用有限元方法对零件结构进行模态分析，有效地预估结构的刚度特性，以便优化结构。利用软件对某铣刀主轴进行模态分析，对其结构的固有频率和振型进行了计算，并给出了结果。

Sympathetic vibration is one of main harms cause shorten the structure life .Designed structure can be model analysis using Finite element analysis , and the results will effectively estimate vibration specific of structure in order to optimize structure design .The model analysis about principal axis of milling cutter is shown as an example to demonstrate the use of the FEM codes , and the calculating results are given .
