This paper analyzes the problems of college students' autonomous learning in the web-based environment and points out how to cultivate students' English autonomous learning ability in the web-based environment from the changing role of teachers in the web-based environment, the launching of classroom activities, the construction of the campus network resourc-es platform, the training and guidance of the students' autonomous learning ability, autonomous learning process monitoring, evaluation, incentives and other mechanisms.
