变性梯度凝胶电泳是不依赖于培养的、依据DNA分子的大小和所带电荷分析微生物多样性和动态变化的分子生物学技术，具有检测极限低、分析速度快及重复性好等优点。主要对变性梯度凝胶电泳原理、特点及其在微生物多样性应用方面进行综述。

Denatured gradient gel electrophoresis ( DGGE) is a molecular biology technique not depending on the cul-ture, and based on the size and the charge of the DNA molecule to analyse microbial diversity and dynamics possess-ing low detection limit, rapid analysis speed and good reproducibility, and other advantages. Here in this paper a re-view on the principle of the DGGE, characteristics and the applications in regard of microbial diversity is summarized.
