个体关怀一直是辅导员工作中的短板，个体关怀缺乏理论基础和思想底蕴、辅导员职业定位偏颇、个体关怀难以量化，都是造成个体关怀难以持续的原因。文章研究辅导员的个体关怀问题，旨在通过倡导一种有距离的观察来提升辅导员工作的个体关怀意识。只有在一个合适的距离，才能理性地观察学生和广泛收集信息，并从繁复的信息中寻找到有效开展思想政治工作的依据，在此基础上，克服辅导员工作上的功利和浮躁心理，从满足学生个体全面发展需要的角度给予学生切实的关爱。

Lack of individual concerns is a weak link in college counselors’work,as the individual concern is short of theoretical basis and the definition of counselor’s responsibility is not accurate,and the individual concern is not quantifiable.This paper tries to enhance college counselors’awareness of individual concerns via advocating in-the-distance observation.College counselors should carry out rational observation of students in a proper distance,collect their information and find out useful details for students’ideological and political education.The college counselors also need to avoid utilitarian ideas and care about students so as to satisfy their individual needs for overall progress.
