The methods for the preparation of methylphenyldimethoxysiloxane were summarized,inclu-ding alcoholysis reaction,Grignard reaction and sodium condensation,and the advantages and disadvantages of these methods were discussed. Some suggestions on the research about methylphenyldimethoxysiloxane were proposed.
