列宁帝国主义理论曾经在20世纪中期盛极一时，之后逐渐式微与淡出，甚至被人遗忘，而随着全球化资本主义新时代的到来，它再度成为人们关注的对象。列宁帝国主义理论既是西方理论界关注的热点，同时也是苏联和亚洲学者所热衷的课题。在西方，列宁帝国主义理论研究不仅有着曲折、波动的复杂过程，而且在该理论原创性和现代意义方面也有着激烈的争论。在苏联，从斯大林的片面化和抽象化时期到上世纪五六十年代向列宁著作的复归再到八十年代新思维倡导下理论的解放无不彰显出对列宁理论的褒扬。在亚洲，日本和我国学者也纷纷对该理论进行追问，从而探出自己的研究道路。

Lenin's imperialism theory was very popular in the mid -20th century ,then gradually de-clined and faded away ,or even been forgotten .As the advent of capitalism globalization ,it once again was paid close attention .Lenin's theory of imperialism was not only gotten attention of Western theorists ,but also was keen on by the scholars of Soviet Union and Asia .In the West ,The research of Lenin's imperial-ism theory had twist and complex studying process .And the originality and modern sense of the theory al-so had an intense debate .In the Soviet Union ,there were all praises of Lenin's theory from Stalin's period to the period of Lenin's reversion of the 1950s and 1960s ,until the late ideological emancipation of the 1980s .In Asia ,Japanese and Chinese scholars also had discussed the theory from their own point of view .
