The prediction of outburst hazard was made with an electromagnetic radiometer in Jiulishan Coal Mine according to the electromagnetic radiation characteristics and regularity of the gassy coal body, the results showed that using electromagnetic radiation method to predict the coal and gas outburst hazard was feasible, and this method is time saving and effort saving, and has less impact on production in coal mines.
