The factors influencing the calculation of the restart pressure of waxy crude oil pipeline were introduced, including the yielding process of gelled oil, pressure-wave propagation, oil thixotropy and the ability to meet flow acquirement. The restart models at home and abroad were summarized, and the difference between simulated result and the actual operation was analyzed. To get more accurate results, various influence factors should be quantitatively characterized.
