Objective To investigate the predictive value of urinary albumin excretory rate/creatinine (A/C) for great vessels functions and damage. Methods 240 cases of patients with DM were selectd and A/C were delected, and patients were divided into abnormal A/C groups and normal A/C groups according level of A/C, femoral artery, carotid artery and coronary artery were detected with color Doppler ultrasound in two groups, and intima media thickness (IMT) and rate of atheromatous plaque were contasted between abnormal A/C groups and normal A/C groups. Results IMT of femoral artery, carotid artery, right coronary artery and lift coronary artery were more thick in abnormal A/C groups than in normal A/C groups, rate of atheromatous plaque of femoral artery, carotid artery, right coronary artery and lift coronary artery were higher in abnormal A/C groups than in normal A/C groups. Conclusion A/C was higher correlative with great vessels damage on patients with diabetes mellitus, and delecting A/C was value for pretesting great vessels damage.
