The paper discusses the edge definition of slope protection,the main types,effects,connection types of edging elements and facilities for the river ecotype slope protection project;analyzes the causes of the potential design (quality) defects,safety hazards on edge liner treatments such as the determination of positions of upstream start and downstream end sections,as well as the upstream and downstream end-sides of slope structure,slope toe,slope crest, intercepting drain,over-excavation and backfilling of foundation pit;finally,some prevention ideas are presented.
