Water reducing agent in concrete admixture is one of the most important species.The mechanism of the water reducing agent was discussed.The composition of common water reducing agent and its application status was in-troduced.It was analyzed on the problems existing in the application of concrete water reducing agent.It was pointed out that developing of high performance,low cost,environment friendly,strong adaptability of water reducing agent and perfecting the evaluation system of water reducing agent is the research emphasis in the future.
