Based on the real working performance of thrust bearings of the No .3 and No.4 generator units in Shuibuya Power Station , comparison studies are carried out on the abrasion of thrust pads in thrust bearings in large hydro -turbine generator sets , and the possible reasons for high temperature of thrust pads are analyzed .Treatment suggestions are then provided , which could be useful to the safe work of thrust bearings in other power stations .
