The process of core drill rig hoist and lower drill pipe was analyzed. The task and specific actions in order of manipula-tor in the hoisting and lowering process were determined. Then the hydraulics system for hoisting and lowering manipulator was de-signed. The research has certain value for development and application of automatic and intelligent core drill rig.
