贺兰山东麓地区在发展酿酒葡萄产业资源优势的基础上，进一步分析本土酵母菌资源与全国酵母菌资源的研究进展，认为贺兰山东麓地区具有发展葡萄产业独特的生态资源优势，同时也具有丰富的酵母菌资源；酵母菌资源的多样性和地域特色性，为选育出适应本区域生态环境的优良酵母菌、改善和提高葡萄酒的品质，以及生产出具有本地独特风格的葡萄酒产品提供了广阔的应用前景。
