Contour inductor intended for TULIP was designed by quoting a standardizing concept .Seriation of the comparable inductors may shorten their manufacturing period and be easy to be batch manufactured and maintained.The inductors so designed and manufactured can be extensively used , are durable and have good interchangeability .The effect of induction hardening process on the microstructure of the TULIP was analyzed . Finally, the case microstructure of the TULIP conforms with the requirement .
