近年来，作为中国唯一既沿海又沿边的少数民族自治区，广西沿边地区的对外开放取得了显著成效，但同时也还存在一些不利因素。对广西沿边地区今后开放的基本原则、目标任务和主要思路深入研究，有利于进一步深化改革开放，全面发展同周边国家的睦邻友好关系，深化双边互利经贸合作、促进共同发展。
