Maritime patrol aircraft has been an important part of anti submarine forces for long time, and is the the main aircraft type in modern anti submarine combat system. In this paper, the development of new generation maritime patrol aircraft in the world was reviewed, its operational tasks and ability were analyzed, and the development trend in the future was put forward.
