中外合作办学是高校引进优质教育资源的有效途径，但西部地区高校中外合作办学规模较小、合作对象少、办学专业趋同等问题值得关注。本文主张从宏观上完善中外合作办学的政策法规体系，中观层面进一步落实具体操作性措施和配套支持政策，高校自身也应在微观层面找准合作基点，扩大合作范围，以推动其均衡和长远发展。

Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools in China is undergoing rapid development in recent years and becomes an effective way to introduce high quality education resources, but it still has some problems in the school scale, partners and professional aspects in colleges and universities of the western region. This article argues further implementment and improve policies and measures from the macro, meso and micro levels, to promote the balanced and long-term development of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools in western region.
