A 40m high rick chimney under complex environment of campus was successfully demolished by directional controlled blasting. According to the environment and surrounding buildings, through elaborate computation about blasting cut and blasting parameters, the triangle directional windows was opened, and matched with strict drilling construction and careful safety protective measures, the goal of chimney collapsing following the designed direction accurately was achieved, and the safety of nearby building, staff and other facilities were guaranteed.
