This paper elaborates the relevance among information, knowledge and intelligence, and discusses the definition of intelli-gence. The paper argues that intelligence is the information that is requested, collected, analyzed by, and provided to government policy makers, military officers and business leaders to facilitate the policy formation and implementation, and prediction is the essential attribute that distinguishes information and knowledge from intelligence.
