The paper introduces the practice of research-based teaching reform in college computer programming course, and summarizes the experience and theory. According to the characteristics of the course, three key stages are identified in the progress of teaching programming courses, and three different teaching strategies are innovated for them. The reform of the teach-ing method successfully cultivated the students’problem-solving ability and creative thinking ability.
