As the practical cultural background and the eternal ideological source of modern ideological and political education,Chinese traditional moral classics have a long history with a deep accumulation.This paper,taking Confucianism as an example,dialectically discusses its components upon the university ideo-logical and political education,and explores its modern values on how to strengthen and improve the pres-ent university ideological and political education.
