传统语言学提出的语言结构模式为语音、词汇、语法三个组成部分，而词汇在语言使用和语言习得中占据核心地位[1]。20世纪80年代前我国的词汇学著作屈指可数，随着人类社会不断地发展变化，语言也不断发生变化，其中词汇的变化最快、最明显。20世纪80年代以来，词汇学的研究成为各大语言学者争相探究的领域，并且在不断地深入探究当中，词汇学的著作如雨后春笋，这及时地弥补了我国对词汇学研究的不足。使英语语言学研究更加多样化，教育理论日趋全面，深刻，教育实践有法可循。通过此次对小学英语教材高频词汇的特点及记忆研究能够对我国的小学英语教育有所启发和帮助。

Phonetics, vocabulary and grammar are three components of the language which was proposed by traditional linguistics. However vocabulary takes up the core status in the use of language and language acquisition. Before 1980s, lexicology study was numbered in China. With the development of society, language has been developed. Since 1980s, lexicology research has become a major field of language scholars. Many research papers on lexicology have been published like mushrooms after rain which helps fill up a deficiency in the study of lexicology in our country. It also makes the language research more diversification and the educational theories more profound. Therefore, education practice can follow the way referred by linguists. The author of this paper hopes that the study will give some enlightenment to primary schools foreign language education.
