The topology characteristics of eight linkage chain-type mechanism with single degree of freedom are studied ,and the topology characteristics of 10 kinds of single degree of freedom eight link mechanism are compared . The study on topological characteristics of eight linkage mechanism may provide a theoretical basis for the designer to select the type of this mechanism and do innovation design .
