From viewpoint of dredger designer, this paper introduces the design of the dredging system for suction dredgers with bow-jetting which can dredge not only in the coastal deep water but also in the inland shallow water based on a description of the ship design case. Owing to the special new functions, this kind of ship can be used more widely in the dredging area.
