Safe operation of dry-type air-core reactor ,the key component in power system ,is of great importance .In this paper ,the influence of rain on the reactor ’ s life is introduced and how to prevent water penetration is described from the point of theory .Moreover ,the influence of wind on reactor op-eration is also introduced and installation suggestion is proposed .
