Objective To explore the methods and results of continuous improvement of pediatric nurses’ venipuncture technique using PDCA management . Methods To investigate the current situation of pediatric nurses’venipuncture technique, to analyze its reason, to make plans and to conduct effective execution and effect evaluation, using PDCA management. To com-pare the one-time venipuncture success rates, the patient complacence, the occurrencefrequency of nurse-patient dispute and hos-pital transfer before and after a 6-month improvement. Results After the 6-month improvement, the one-time venipuncture suc-cess rates and the patient complacence have been all enhanced, and the occurrencefrequency of nurse-patient dispute and hospital transfer has been reduced. The compare and difference between the two test groups have statistical significance. Conclusion U-sing PDCA management in of continuous improvement of pediatric nurses’ venipuncture technique can effectively enhance the one-time venipuncture success rate and the patient complacence.
