The food safety management system (FSMS) background, significance and trend of certification were introduced in this paper. Reform history of FSMS certification polices in China was summed up. The purpose and significance of revision of the new policy were analyzed concurrently. After that, the legal basis for FSMS certification was expounded; some regulations and standards for FSMS certification were listed. The adoption of legislation principles to enterprises need gain certification was illustrated. According to official data, the amount of the FSMS certification, certification covering tissue types were introduced;the actual benefits of the certification were discussed from the perspectives of administrative supervision, enterprise management, and foreign trade, reduce food safety risk. In addition to the Chinese FSMS authentication supervision system, supervision method was briefly introduced.
