A new sweet potato variety with high starch content, Longshu No. 24, was developed by Longyan Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Fujian province. It has the advantages of high starch yield, good taste and moderately resistant Fusarium wilt. Its starch yield from the varietal trial of Fujian was 472.23 kg/667m2, which was increased by 8.96% compared to the control Jinshan57. It was released in Fujian province in 2013. Its characteristics and key cultivation techniques were introduced.
