为减少子模块开关动作次数和换流器损耗,提出了一种模块化多电平换流器(modular multilevel converter, MMC)的子模块电容电压平衡改进控制方法。采用最近电平调制方式,每个控制周期内按电容电压大小对处于投入状态和切出状态的2组子模块分别进行排序;根据需要投入的子模块数量和当前处于投入状态的子模块数量,对投入和切出的子模块状态进行改变;根据设定的电容电压允许偏差值、可进行调换的子模块数量,对投入和切出的子模块进行对调。仿真算例结果验证了所提方法的有效性。

To decrease switching action times of sub-module and reduce converter power dissipation, an improved balance control method for sub-module capacitor voltage of modular multi-level converter (MMC) is proposed. Adopting the nearest level modulation, within each control cycle two sub-modules, which are in switching-on and switching-off conditions, are ordered respectively according to the value of capacitor voltage; based on the number of sub-modules to be put into operation and that being operated at present, the states of switching-on and switching-off sub-modules are changed; according to the preset allowable deviation of capacitor voltage and the number of substitutable sub-modules the sub-modules in switching-on and switching-off states are swapped. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated by simulation results.
