针对视频、音频数据流的数据量大、速率高、实时性强等特点,通过深入研究UDP传输协议特点以及UDP/IP协议栈体系结构,提出采用现场可编程门阵列(FPGA)和物理PHY芯片Marvell 88E1111作为系统平台的设计方案。采用自顶向下的设计方法,完成对各个模块的整合,通过功能仿真验证系统功能,并给出UDP/IP协议栈通信仿真结果,结果表明协议栈能够按照标准UDP/IP协议对数据进行封包和解包;在XILINX公司开发的ML605硬件开发平台上测试了UDP/IP协议栈系统的通信性能,通信效率测试结果表明,实际通信效率明显优于其它实现方案。通过在FPGA内实现UDP/IP协议栈,便于系统集成且具有移植性高的特点,系统充分利用了千兆以太网更高传输带宽的优点,特别适用于大数据量的传输环境。

For audio and video data stream having the characteristics of large data capacity, high speed, real-time, the characteristics of UDP transport protocols and UDP/IP protocol stack architecture were further studied, a design, which was using field-programmable gate array (FPGA) and physical PHY Marvell 88E1111 chip as the system plat-form was proposed. Using the top-down design method to complete the integration of various modules, and then the system function through the function simulation was verified,and the communication simulation results of UDP/IP pro-tocol stack were given. Finally,The results showed that the protocol stack can be packed and unpacked data in accor-dance with standard UDP/IP protocol on the XILINX ML605 hardware platform, which was developed by XILINX company. The communication performance of UDP/IP protocol stack system was tested and the test results of commu-nication efficiency is given, the actual communication efficiency is superior to other implementations. By implementing UDP/IP protocol stack in the FPGA,it was not only easy integrated,but also had the characteristics of high portabili-ty. The system took full advantage of the higher bandwidth of Gigabit Ethernet and especially was applied for large da-ta transfer environment.
