针对在不同条件下,磁流变液使超声波传播特性发生显著变化的现象,设计并制作了研究磁流变液调制超声波传播特性的实验装置。通过实验研究了不同磁感应强度、不同磁场方向对超声波在磁流变液中的传播特性的影响,分析了磁场对超声波传播速度与幅值调制的迟滞特征,并对上述现象特性进行了定性解释。研究结果表明,超声波在磁流变液中的传播速度、幅度不仅与磁场作用下形成链状结构的粗细、方向性有很大关联,而且存在明显的迟滞性。

Considering the phenomenon that the propagation characterization of ultrasonic in magneto-rheological fluid (MRF)are significantly influenced by different conditions,an experimental apparatus was designed and fabricated to study such propagation characterization of ultrasonic in MRFs.In this paper,the influences of both magnetic induction intensity and its orientation on the propagation characterization of ultrasonic in MRFs are first studied.Then an analysis for the modulation of propagation velocities and amplitudes with hysteresis of under various magnetic fields was put forward.At last,qualitative interpretations for above-mentioned charac-terizations are made.The investigation result shows that the propagation velocity and amplitude of ultrasonic in MRF are tightly associated with the strength of chain structures and its orientations,in which they exhibit ap-parent hysteresis.
