ED7000高泳透力薄膜电泳漆由某国际汽车涂料供应商所研发,能够满足白车身高泳透力的需求,并可降低涂料消耗和能耗。将ED7000乳液和色浆按8∶1的质量比在小型电泳槽内混合,加入纯水调整固体分至23%左右,在(32±2)°C下熟化48 h后进行相关的认证实验,测试了槽液参数和漆膜性能;将该电泳漆与三涂三烘工艺、免中涂工艺以及PVC、聚氨酯玻璃胶和玻璃水等进行相关的配套性试验,并在生产线进行试生产。研究表明,ED7000电泳漆具有高泳透力、低膜厚(15μm以下,含磷化层,可节约12%的涂料)、施工范围宽、槽液容易管理的优点。但它也存在电泳电压较高(高于常规工艺20 V左右)、粗糙度稍差(Ra为0.30~0.35μm)、顶盖上膜困难等缺点,适合在电泳面积较小的A级车和B级车上使用。

ED7000 electrophoretic paint is a high-throwing-power and thin-film product developed by an international automobile coating supplier to meet the requirement of high throwing power for coating the car bodies in white and decrease the consumption of coating materials and energy. In the paper, the ED7000 emulsion and the pigment paste were mixed with a mass ratio of 8 to 1 in a small electrophoretic tank, followed by adding water to adjust solid content of the bath to about 23% and curing at (32±2) °C for 48 h. Some attestation tests were carried out, and the bath parameters and coating properties were examined. Whether the electrophoretic paint can be matched with the 3-coat-3-bake or midcoat-free process as well as the PVC, polyurethane glass adhesive, and water glass were studied. The trial production was carried out on a real production line. It was found that the ED7000 paint has advantages of high throwing power, low film thickness (less than 15μm with a phosphating layer, saving 12%of coating material), wide ranges of construction conditions, and easy bath management. The disadvantages of the paint are high electrophoretic voltage (20 V higher than that of a conventional process), worse roughness (Ra=0.30-0.35μm), and difficulty in coating the top. The paint is suitable to be applied to A- and B-class cars with smaller areas to be coated by electrophoresis.
