The paper introduced the basic properties and action mechanism of imidacloprid, and elaborated the three factors (including pesticide resistance, application method and mixed use of pesticides) affecting its control efficiency. At the same time, the paper introduced the extended application of imidacloprid on disinfection and sterilization, and pointed out the works needed doing on the safety control of imidacloprid in future.
