This paper explores the models of collaborative innovation, and explains the background and the importance. Three models of collaborative innovation which are on the basis of the higher vocational colleges with industrial background are suggested in this paper. Through the analysis of the successful cases, the structure and operation of these three models are explored as well. Then, this paper emphasizes the pivotal role of the industry and government.
