The article briefly introduced the coal gas production procedure and how the coal gas was pro-duced when the coal was burned as solid fuel inside coal gas furnace . Safety analysis methods and fault tree analysis method are applied to the explosion accidents happened in the coal gas production system . Through analysis the hazardous factors and take the correct solutions to provide help for the safe produc-tion of coal gas .
