贵州册亨板其磷矿床产出于贵州西南部二叠纪台地边缘相礁灰岩分布区的古溶洞中，是贵州境内首次发现的风化淋滤型磷矿床，在矿床成因上类似于美国田纳西州中部奥陶系至泥盆系灰岩中的最具有经济意义的棕色岩磷矿床。对该类型磷矿的形成条件、形成环境和成矿作用进行深入研究具有重要的科学意义。经初步研究，板其磷矿区至少存在两个时期的古岩溶河道，磷矿床的发现为贵州南部的册亨、贞丰、望谟、罗甸等县的二叠纪礁灰岩分布区找矿工作带来了新的机会，提供新的思路和方向。板其磷矿床属于硅质低镁型风化矿床，适用于生产钙镁磷肥和磷酸，其开发为改善缺磷地区土壤结构、促进农业生产发展具有现实经济意义。

Baiqi phosphorus mineral deposit, located in paleocave of platform margins reef limestone area in the Permian in south western part of Guizhou, is weathering-leached phosphorus mineral deposit ifrst discovered in Guizhou, which is similar to brown rock phosphorus deposit located in central Tennessee of the U. S., and this brown rock phosphorus deposit is of decisive signiifcance in the limestone of Ordovician to Devonian System. This paper points out that making an intensive study of the formation conditions, the environment and mineralization of this type of phosphate rock has important scientiifc signiifcance. According to the preliminary studies, there is the ancient karst river of at least two stages in Banqi phosphorus deposit area;and its discovery opens a new set of opportunities for the prospecting work in the Permian reef limestone area, which is located in the counties such as Ceheng, Zhengfeng, Wangmo and Luodian in southern Guizhou. This paper goes on to look at that Baiqi phosphorus mineral deposit belongs to siliceous and low magnesium weathering ore deposit, and is applicable to the production of calcium-magnesia phosphate and phosphoric acid;and its exploitation has real economic signiifcance for improving the soil structure of phosphorus deifciency area, and promoting the development of agricultural production.
