The electroplating is a main industry discharging heavy metals in Jiangmen city. In this paper, the current status of electroplating industry in Jiangmen city and the environmental pressure it faces were analyzed. Some corresponding methods to deal with the situation were presented from aspects of industry arrangement, enterprise upgrading, environmental supervision, and environmental remediation. It provides a reference for the transformation and upgrade of electroplating industry.
