The development of dryland water-saving agricultural engineering technology and the efficient use of limited water resources has a long-term and realistic significance to ensuring high and stable yield of crops. This paper expounds on the connotations of five wa-ter saving technologies, including zero tillage coverage mechanization technology, farming water conservation technology, straw returning technology, water-saving irrigation technology, and the transformation of paddy field into drycrop field in a bid to provide reference for the extension and application of agricultural engineering technologies.
