The material parameters of concrete arch dam and the main loads treated as random variables, analysis of arch dam and surrounding rock stress with the finite element method.Using the result of the stress,solve the structural reliability of arch dam limit state equation with the response surface method, and get arch dam structure reliability index distribution using gradient optimization method.Through the analysis of the arch dam abutment structural reliability index,make the sensitivity analysis of major material parameters and load variability,satisfactory results obtained.
