《尔雅》是我国古代第一部训诂专著，其书在战国时期已初具规模，秦汉之际递有增补。由于各种原因，在流传过程中《尔雅》用字发生了不少变易。变易后的《尔雅》用字储存在历代字书中，与《尔雅》文本失去联系，后人遂不知其字源于《尔雅》。借助《尔雅》字形、字义以及郭璞的注释，大型字书直接或间接源于《尔雅》的疑难字可以得到考辨。

《이아》시아국고대제일부훈고전저，기서재전국시기이초구규모，진한지제체유증보。유우각충원인，재류전과정중《이아》용자발생료불소변역。변역후적《이아》용자저존재역대자서중，여《이아》문본실거련계，후인수불지기자원우《이아》。차조《이아》자형、자의이급곽박적주석，대형자서직접혹간접원우《이아》적의난자가이득도고변。
“Er Ya” is the first ancient exegetical monograph in China .It has begun to take shape in the Warring States period ,and during the Qin and Han dynasties have supplemented .Due to various rea-sons ,in the process of spreading ,“Er Ya”words happened a lot of variation .These words were stored in the ancient dictionaries ,lost contact with the book ,and then people do not know where the words come from it .By means of“Er Ya”glyph ,meanings and Guo Pu's notes ,the words in large dictionaries directly or indirectly from“Er Ya” can be interpreted .
