This paper introduces a new type of proportional valve of the United States Hyde. And it elaborates the in-ternal structure and working principle of a straight-pilot proportional decompression/overflow valve, aiming at guid-ing type structure and its stress and the overflow of the specific analysis of the function, on how to realize the propor-tional control, also has made the detailed analysis. Moreover, the proportional valve interior flow field is simulated. Finally the characteristics of the application of a new type of proportional valve are summarized.
