河南省与中部其他五省在经济效率和经济结构上存在一定的差距。从要素产出效率、经济增长代价、经济辐射力、科技进步、产业结构特征及其带来的影响方面进行分析，认为河南省存在总体产出效率低、环境代价高、经济辐射能力弱、科研经费比重低等问题，呈现出粗放型增长的特征。河南省应针对这些问题，从内、外两方面入手进行调整。

There is much gap in the economic efficiency and structure between Henan Province and the other five provinces in central China. The paper makes an analysis of the output efficiency, the cost of economic growth, economic radiation, technological progress, industrial structure characteristics and the resulting impact. The results show that there are problems with Henan＇ s economy, such as low efficiency in overall output, high environmental costs, weak economy radiation , and low proportion of research funding,which appears to be of extensive growth characteristics. Therefore, Henan Province should settle these problems from both the inside and outside.
